Description

Legal Intern Legal - Commercial & Licensing At Coty, a global leader in the cosmetics industry, the Commercial & Licensing legal team advises Coty's business teams on broad range of matters, including distribution agreements, licensing agreements, commercial contract negotiations, competition law, brand protection, litigation & risk management, cosmetic advertising claims, and corporate law. THE ROLE OPTIMIZE, ENABLE, INNOVATE! As our Legal Intern you play an important role for the APAC regional counsel (based in Singapore) and other lawyers in the different regional teams around the world. During the internship you will be mentored by an experienced former Magic Circle lawyer. You will be reporting to Associate General Counsel, Commercial & Licensing, and under his guidance you will: • Assist with the drafting, reviewing and negotiating of a wide range of contracts, including distribution, local retail, and travel retail agreements, talent sponsorship, promotion and marketing, influencer, music, agency, e-commerce, and licensing agreements. • Work cross-functionally (e.g. with Marketing, Sales, Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Affairs, R&D, Procurement and Finance) and learn how to provide legally sound advice on a variety of marketing, finance, sales, regulatory, and litigation matters. At the end of your internship, you may be asked to give a presentation on a legal case, legislative development, or any other suitable subject matter. YOU ARE A COTY FIT As an (under)graduate who can commit for at least 6 months, you thrive in a fast-paced and diverse environment. You are: • Finished with or currently reading law in university or any other institution of higher learning (affinity with anti-trust, privacy, corporate, consumer or intellectual property law is a plus!) • Skilled in the use of MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. • Self-motivated and self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a sense of confidentiality. • Strong desire to learn along with a strong sense of ownership. If you’re ready to support and shape the future of beauty, we want you on our team! WHAT WE OFFER This is a unique role with a genuine opportunity to make an impact. You’ll get to work in a diverse environment with a team of professionals who are passionate about the work they do and know how to have some fun along the way. Coty’s global omni-working policy provides the option to work up to 50% of your month remotely. We believe that a more flexible philosophy of remote working will give everyone the freedom to choose what works for their individual circumstances and empower them to always perform at their best. ABOUT US Our people make us who we are. They are the brightest minds bringing the boldest ideas to life every day. If you’re the kind of person who refuses to settle, if you want to think bigger, learn faster and go further than you ever thought possible – we’d love to hear from you. Coty is deeply committed to Changing the Conversation around Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to create a more open, inclusive, and diverse workplace where all employees can be their authentic self.
